Letting Nature Take Its Course and Thinking Long Term
Time is your best ally when it comes to vintages and partenerships :
- lasting relationships;
- patience during the growing and production cycles;
- proximity between the vineyard and the cellar: every Lorgeril Estate and/or winegrowers in partnership has its own winemaking cellar;
- gentle winemaking processes are made to obtain fresh and fine aromas and flavors.
The choice of high-lying vineyards ensures slow maturation and the preservation of flavors, increasing the Mediterranean exuberance of the terroirs the vines are rooted in. With the patience of a Tibetan monk, Maison Lorgeril remembers the work carried out on each patch of land to reach perfection through its amazing insight. It is not a systematic process as the vintages and the wines themselves determine the winemaking process decisions (like the use of regular wine vessels or oak barrels) and timings (fermentation and vatting periods for instance).
