75cl • AOP Cabardès
GRAPE VARIETIES • 40% Merlot, 30% Syrah, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Grenache
TERROIR • The estate’s high-altitude terroirs peak at 360 m, where the cooler climate allows slow and progressive tannin maturation. The soils are limestone and stony. Facing south, the vines benefit from the East-West climatic influences.
TASTING NOTES • Ruby to garnet color. On the nose, notes of sweet spices, vanilla, caramel, stewed fruits, and prunes. On the palate, smooth tannins bring depth and length. Juicy, round, and delicate texture. Jammy fruit aromas (kirsch cherry) with a cocoa finish.
IN ONE SENTENCE • The flagship of Maison Lorgeril! A balanced and refined Cabardès with black fruit aromas.
Guide Hachette 2024 / 2* + Coup de Cœur: “Fruit, structure, freshness, elegance: a true favorite.”
WINEMAKING • Destemmed harvest and careful sorting. Vinification by grape variety with tailored maceration, aiming for a balance between fruit and structure. Very gentle and precise extraction. Partial ageing in French oak barrels.
Ce vin correspond tout à fait à mes attentes, je le connaissais déjà. Toujours aussi satisfaite. Merci !
