Château de Ciffre · Grand Vin · 2020 Saint Chinian

75cl • AOP Saint Chinian

GRAPE VARIETIES • 45% Syrah, 55% Grenache

TERROIR • Selection from the finest plots, the terroirs are composed of gneiss and high-altitude limestone reaching up to 350 m. A high-altitude terroir where cool nights allow gentle tannin maturation and an elegant expression of aromas with great finesse.

TASTING NOTES • Beautiful garnet-red color. Aromatic complexity. On the nose, notes of stewed fruits and woody essences. Slightly sappy character with spicy aromas. Straightforward palate with lovely length.

Bernard Burtschy 95/100: “The color is deep with superb blackberry aromas. The wine is ample, with a touch of marked bitterness, balanced by its structure and breadth. The tannins are silky, and the finish is beautiful. Wait two to three years for it to reveal its full depth.”

WINEMAKING • Vatting of 25 to 30 days, favoring gentle extraction. Malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels.
